DraftKings and BetBlocker have joined forces to promote responsible gaming. This collaboration aims to increase awareness and provide access to BetBlocker’s self-exclusion software.
The software empowers users to set limits on their gambling activities across a vast number of online gaming platforms, regardless of regulatory status or licensing.
DraftKings, a leading sports betting operator, recognizes the value of BetBlocker’s contributions to safer gaming. Chrissy Thurmond, Senior Director of Responsible Gambling at DraftKings, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting BetBlocker’s innovative and consumer-friendly approach to responsible gambling.
Both organizations share a commitment to utilizing technology and innovation to foster safer gaming practices. BetBlocker’s expansion into North America follows its remarkable success in international markets.
BetBlocker’s free tool prioritizes user privacy by refraining from collecting personal information. Users can download the software anonymously and customize the duration and nature of their restrictions.
BetBlocker, a program designed to assist individuals in blocking gambling websites, is extending its reach to the United States and Canada with the backing of DraftKings.
“BetBlocker is thrilled to have the support of DraftKings, a prominent figure in the sports betting and gaming sector, to expand our software beyond the United Kingdom and Europe to players in the US and Canada,” stated Pedro Romero, Head of Safe Gambling Partnerships at BetBlocker.
“We are impressed by DraftKings’ leadership in responsible gaming and we appreciate their collaboration and financial assistance in this domain as we aim to broaden awareness of safe gaming technology.
“We encourage other operators to emulate DraftKings’ example and surpass regional mandates to guarantee all players have access to knowledge and tools for responsible gambling.”
DraftKings backs responsible gambling initiatives through its state-level funding program, which provides financial aid to state legislatures and affiliates of the National Council on Problem Gambling. In May, the company introduced its sports betting and online gambling services in Ontario.
