Aristocrat Leisure, an Australian entertainment firm, is renaming its real-money gaming branch to Anaxi.
Anaxi, which launched in February, is the third division of Aristocrat, alongside Aristocrat Gaming and Pixel United, a mobile gaming enterprise.
Aristocrat attempted to acquire Playtech, a prominent online gambling firm, but Playtech’s proprietors declined the offer. Following this, Aristocrat declared their continued pursuit of online endeavors.
The new moniker will facilitate Anaxi’s expansion through the development of novel products and acquisitions. It will also aid in attracting and retaining skilled personnel for the creation of innovative online games.
Anaxi’s inaugural online games are slated for release before year’s end in partnership with two prominent American corporations.
Mitchell Bowen, the chief executive of Anaxi, stated, “We are thrilled to collaborate with our partners. Anaxi will produce top-tier online games and establish itself as the most reputable name in online gaming globally.”
This name alteration follows Aristocrat’s acquisition of Roxor Gaming, a British online game developer, last month.
Roxor Gaming, established in 2019 by ex-Gamesys chair and co-founder Noel Hayden, was initially an internal development and product group for the Gamesys Group. Since gaining independence, Roxor Gaming has launched games in New Jersey, USA, and intends to broaden its reach into North America and the United Kingdom.
The takeover is anticipated to be completed in the initial three months of 2023.
