The Delaware Lottery has introduced its inaugural online sports wagering platform, powered by Rush Street Interactive (RSI) and BetRivers, which discreetly commenced operations on December 27th. Following a successful week of operation, the new sports wagering platform is now fully operational in Delaware.

The platform presents bettors with a diverse range of wagering choices on professional and collegiate leagues, contests, and athletes, encompassing point spreads, odds, player props, futures, and same-game parlays.

In addition to the novel sports wagering platform, there are three modernized iterations of the state’s existing online casinos, which will continue to be managed by Delaware Park, Bally’s Dover Casino, and Harrington Raceway & Casino.

RSI was granted the contract to furnish internet gaming services for the Delaware Lottery last August, surpassing other contenders including 888. RSI emerged as the sole remaining bidder after other interested parties withdrew.

RSI will provide internet gaming services for a five-year duration, with an extension at the discretion of the Delaware Lottery. The Delaware Lottery introduces its first online sports wagering platform.

BetRivers mobile application and online platform now feature Delaware Park, Harrington Raceway & Casino, and Bally’s Dover Casino.

Delaware’s November outcomes were varied. This launch and relaunch follow a mixed month for Delaware in November.

The Delaware Lottery declared that internet gaming profits grew in comparison to the previous year, but sports wagering earnings declined.

Delaware’s total online gambling income in November achieved $1.1 million (equal to £882,214 or €1 million). This figure signifies a 13.0% rise compared to November 2022’s $987,423 and a 13.5% rise compared to October 2023’s $982,919.

In terms of expenditure, players spent $32.1 million on online gambling in November. This figure signifies a 24.8% reduction compared to 2022’s $42.7 million, but a 5.3% rise compared to October’s $30.5 million.

Regarding sports betting, revenue in November was $576,800. This figure signifies a 62.3% reduction compared to November 2022’s $1.5 million and a 78.0% reduction compared to October’s $2.6 million.

Sports betting spending for the month was $8.1 million. The Delaware Lottery stated that this figure signifies a 20.6% reduction compared to 2022’s $10.2 million and a 24.3% reduction compared to October 2023’s $10.7 million.
