The prominent gaming corporation, 888, has concluded the divestiture of its bingo division to Broadway Gaming, a transaction indicating 888’s strategic pivot towards the flourishing internet gaming sector. The agreement, appraised at $45.2 million, grants Broadway Gaming ownership of both the customer and commercial branches of 888’s bingo enterprises.

This divestiture empowers 888 to concentrate intently on its recent amalgamation with William Hill, a dominant force in the online wagering realm. This consolidation is poised to elevate 888 into the upper echelon of international online gaming entertainment corporations.

888’s Chief Executive Officer, Itai Pazner, conveyed appreciation for the commitment of the bingo personnel and their input throughout the years, especially during the divestiture procedure. He contends that Broadway Gaming, with its specialized emphasis on bingo, is well-situated to guide the enterprise to unprecedented levels of success.

Broadway Gaming’s Chief Executive Officer, David Butler, expressed his fervor for the acquisition, underscoring the acquired platform’s market-leading status. This maneuver accentuates Broadway Gaming’s aspiration to solidify its supremacy in the online bingo market.

This purchase allows us to connect with more bingo enthusiasts globally, particularly with a powerful brand like ‘Butlers Bingo’ already part of our offerings,” the firm declared. “We identify significant expansion opportunities with both regular players and larger collaborations, and we’re eager to partner with the staff to establish ourselves as the leading online bingo provider internationally.”

This statement comes on the heels of designating three fresh board representatives following 888’s procurement of William Hill’s non-US holdings in July 2022.
