The alliance between 888 and the New York Jets is causing a stir.

Despite the NFL’s ban on the advertisement of sports wagering services, 888 has inked a sponsorship agreement with the Jets. Although the team has remained tight-lipped about the deal, the gaming enterprise has updated its website to include “Official Partner of the New York Jets.”

Jets supporters at MetLife Stadium on Sunday couldn’t miss the vibrant orange 888.com banners on display. While these banners steered clear of mentioning 888’s sports betting services, which would be a violation of NFL regulations, 888.com’s main webpage prominently features a football athlete alongside a direct link to its sports wagering platform.

The NFL’s rules are intended to address worries about a rise in gambling issues, particularly among youth. It appears 888 and the Jets may have discovered a way around this, which the NFL might need to examine.

Earlier this season, the NFL relaxed its prohibition on casino advertisements; to date, spokespersons for the Jets, the NFL, and 888 have opted not to remark on the sponsorship arrangement.
